Vice Ranking Member Williams Calls Out Incompetency of Biden SBA
WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Committee on Small Business Vice Ranking Member Roger Williams (TX-25) spearheaded a letter to Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Isabella Guzman, with every House Small Business Committee Republican, addressing the agency’s inability to answer simple questions on the negative effects of President Biden’s proposed tax policies. “It was deeply troubling to witness SBA Associate Administrator, Mark Madrid, unprepared and unable to answer fundamental questions on proposed tax increases and its impacts on our Nation’s job creators and entrepreneurs,” said Congressman Williams. “The Biden SBA has demonstrated it is out of touch with the small businesses it is charged with assisting. As committee Republicans continue to provide oversight of the Biden Administration’s SBA, we must be able to get straightforward answers on the questions and concerns we are hearing every day from our constituents. It is inexcusable that some of the top leadership within this agency will not recognize or even attempt to defend these misguided tax proposals and the drastic impact they would have on Main Street America.”
