Trump Campaign Announces Launch of ‘Workers for Trump’ Ahead of the 2020 Election
Coalition to Spearhead National Labor Engagement
Donald J. Trump for President today announced the launch of Workers for Trump, a coalition of voters who will work to re-elect President Trump, with a focus on expanding grassroots labor support.
“In 2016 blue collar workers across the country voted for Donald Trump, propelling him to victories in states that Republicans traditionally don’t win,” said Trump Campaign Manager Brad Parscale. “President Trump promised to put America’s forgotten working men and women back on the job and he’s kept that promise – creating more than six million new jobs, ushering in the lowest unemployment rate the United States has seen in half a century, and sparking the fastest wage growth in over a decade.”
Along with creating six million new jobs, President Trump has also presided over the creation of more than a million new jobs in the manufacturing, construction, and energy sectors. The Trump economy remains strong and growing, while Democrat candidates offer plans that threaten to damage the economy and throw people’s lives into turmoil.
Terry Bowman of Ypsilanti, Michigan will serve as Workers for Trump advisory board chair.
“Many union members tell me that they are adamantly opposed to Democrat plans for a big-government takeover of healthcare that would eliminate private health insurance for 180 million Americans – including the millions of union workers who worked hard to negotiate for those benefits,” Bowman said. “Meanwhile, President Trump is fighting to save our healthcare benefits from demise. He’s also got a record of keeping his promises to American workers.”
Other key advisory board members of Workers for Trump include:
Sam Cabral — Florida
Paul Jackson — Minnesota
Adam Morse — Minnesota
Angelina Tinsley — Nevada
Patrick Delle Cava — New Jersey
Robert Campbell — Ohio
Joe Long — Pennsylvania
The campaign anticipates that the advisory board will grow as the campaign progresses.
