TEAM USA AND JAPAN MEET AGAIN
Japan defeated the Americans in the gold-medal game last year at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and these two teams will now play again tonight in the gold-medal game at The World Games 2022.
Team USA will try to avenge last year’s gold-medal loss while playing in front of an energized home crowd of more than 10,000 spectators at the Hoover Met. “This is one of the marquee matchups everyone anticipated before The World Games began, and both teams held up their end of the bargain to make it happen,” The World Games CEO Nick Sellers said.
“We say The World Games provides once-in-a-lifetime experiences for spectators, and this is a perfect example. Team USA has a chance to get revenge and redemption on home soil.”
