For survivors / families of suicide victims:
Surreal ValeCity is open to your stories. It is part of the media's job to make a difference in people's lives / community / world. The media wants to tell your story. The following is criteria for submissions. There are 2 reasons for it being strict. 1) The media will never, intentionally and knowingly, place anyone in danger. 2) The media has to cover itself legally. With that said, if you would like to have your voice heard, please use the following criteria:
1) Protecting privacy / anonymity The media's top priority is protecting you.
2) Do not send any personal information. Examples: phone numbers, addresses, social media names, etc. It will not be used. If the media has any questions, you will be contacted through e-mail only.
3) Format will be straight copy / paste, no editing. The media consists of a 1 person staff. What you send will directly appear. Please do not ask for changes after publication. It will only be deleted.
4) It may take a few days to appear. As stated, 1 person does the entire media. It will appear in the current edition.
5) 2 weeks after your story goes live, it will be moved to the archives.
I can not stress this enough, privacy Is the TOP PRIORITY. Second priority is protecting the media legally.
