Love everything except...
Doing the usual, browsing Kickstarter for a feature this week, noticed this project. The title caught my attention and decided to check it out.
In the "About" section, the film appears to be a very serious attempt at not following typical vampire plots. Honestly, I really loved pointing out it will not be like a specific series based in Seattle. The concept's history is very interesting also. This film comes from real life experiences and living in a real neighborhood.
Explaining the light (technical side) and mood elements of the movies proves people involved are not first time amateurs. It also shows every side / aspect of the movies is clearly thought and planned out.
Giving the background of almost everyone involved with the film is always bonus points. Again, showing this not a first time, amateur attempt. The photos / credits are a great list with serious, educational, background.
The pie chart financial breakdown and explanation are very clear and easy to understand. Showing every part of the film's process including food and festival fees.
The risks and challenges part clearly explains how what may a longshot dream can easily become reality. When you have the right people and planning involved.
The only drawback to this project is visual presentation. While realizing you need to promote social media, the Facebook / Twitter icons are way too large and intrusive. They add to the length of time it takes to scroll. Plus, a potential backer could easily lose interest.
Other than that, the magazine is seriously thrilled to feature this project. We hope it achieves much success!
