​Over 2k People united against suicide...

​Registration, organizations, music, ceremony, volunteers, staff, food trucks, teams, individuals, dogs, nature. All combined for an estimated 2,000 people and over $110k raised to help this very important cause. This was the 2nd time the Lehigh Valley was covered. The original plan was to volunteer / cover the Philadelphia walk. Things don't always work out the way we plan.
​From Michael Phoenix (founder / staff member): As the survivor of an attempt in 2010, suicide prevention is very personal. I carry it over to the magazine with the same level. Between the overnight walk and Lehigh Valley, it still almost brings tears to my eyes. The amount of people who came together and honor suicide victims. Or, to let others know they survived an attempt. I met a lot of amazing people (and great 4 legged friends!) at both events.

Sitting here typing this, I stop on occasion and are beyond words at the level of emotion both events have conveyed. Events like these remind us exactly how precious every moment really is. The only one we are guaranteed is the one we are in. Let others know how much we care about and love them.

Special bandannas were available for walker's best friends. The location was great for both to take a break along (or in) the Little Lehigh. Walkers consisted of individuals and teams. Covering the Lehigh Valley 2 times and Philadelphia this year, that part really went to my heart. Seeing groups of people together to honor a friend or family member...
