Daily Updates:
  • There is no dial-in media briefing regarding COVID-19 planned for today. More details on the next media briefing will be included in Monday's Situation Update.
  • Check the Pop-Up Testing Sites page on the NCDHHS website to find a community testing event near you. Organizations planning a single or multi-day pop-up testing event can fill out an online form to have their event listed.

ICYMI:
  • An effort by Governor Roy Cooper’s administration is matching North Carolina college students in need of work experience with local governments and nonprofits seeking additional help to support COVID-19 response efforts. Read more.
  • NCDHHS issued a Request For Proposals for an initiative that will send up to 250 Community Health Workers to historically underserved areas with high COVID-19 caseloads. Starting in August, teams of trained frontline public health professionals will connect North Carolinians affected by COVID-19 with needed services and support. Read more.
  • In a new short video, Dr. Betsey Tilson, State Health Director and Chief Medical Officer for NCDHHS, shows how to properly use a cloth face covering over one's nose and mouth to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The video is also available in Spanish.
