This month, the House Small Business Committee Republicans are recognizing Kansas City Cattle Company, a 100% veteran-owned and 100% veteran-operated small business based out of Kansas City, Missouri for the Committee's July 2021 Small Business Spotlight.
On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, Patrick Montgomery - Kansas City Cattle Company Owner, Founder, and Chief Executive Officer - testified in front of the House Small Business Committee during a hearing titled, "Small Business Administration’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: An Update and Next Steps with SBA’s Resource Partners.” Throughout this hearing, Montgomery highlighted his entrepreneurship journey and personal story of working to access SBA's resources to succeed in his new business:
"My journey to entrepreneurship started during my last semester of my undergrad at the University of Missouri at Columbia," said Montgomery. "I had put the business plan for KC Cattle Company together and was looking for a seed investment to get started once I graduated."
