Allen's other community involvements included serving on the Parkland School Board and the B'nai B'rith House of Allentown Board.  He was a supporter of the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley and Sarasota. He also enjoyed being a member of the Jordan Martin Lodge #673 of Allentown and Rajah Shrine of Reading, PA.
