Governor Sisolak presents first four Community Recovery Grants to non-profits to help Nevadans in need
CARSON CITY, NV – This week, Nevada Governor Sisolak presented the first four Community Recovery Grants awarded to non-profits that provide direct and immediate community services to Nevadans.
“I am grateful for the support these non-profit organizations have provided to Nevadans throughout this pandemic. These grants are a small token of our appreciation for their services which have been instrumental in helping Nevadans recover,” said Gov. Sisolak. “The State remains committed to investing federal dollars back into the community through programs that will have an immediate effect on the lives of Nevadans and the recovery of our State.”
Announced in early December, the State set aside $30 million in federal funds to utilize existing non-profits in the State to help provide direct and immediate community services. On February 9, the Interim Finance Committee approved the first four Community Recovery Grants.
