Governor Ron DeSantis Announces Additional COVID-19 Vaccination Sites at Publix Super Markets to Support Seniors First
Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced eight Publix pharmacies in Indian River County and 11 Publix pharmacies in St. Lucie County will begin offering the COVID vaccine, bringing the total in the state of Florida to 261 Publix locations in 20 counties.

All vaccinations by Publix at their select locations are by appointment only. Qualified individuals can make an appointment by visiting www.publix.com/covidvaccine. The Governor’s Seniors First strategy prioritizes Floridians 65 and older to receive the vaccine.
To date, 70% of Florida’s total vaccinations have gone to seniors 65 and older with more than 1 million vaccines going to this age demographic. Additionally, Florida is on track to have offered the COVID-19 vaccine to every resident and staff member in Florida’s nearly 700 nursing homes and over 3,000 assisted living facilities by February 1.
