Downtown Bethlehem Association to Present $3,400 to Celtic Cultural Alliance
Various Beth-lum Go Bragh events in Historic Downtown Bethlehem, played a role in fundraising for the organization.
BETHLEHEM, PA, April 16, 2020: In an effort to assist Celtic Cultural Alliance in raising money to buffer losses from the cancellation of Celtic Classic in 2020, The Downtown Bethlehem Association brought back a festive Historic Downtown Bethlehem Event. On March 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st, "Beth-lum Go Bragh" was filled with cocktail trails, entertainment, scavenger hunts, selfies with the Bethlehem Elves, and more, to raise money and awareness for Celtic Cultural Alliance and their #celticcomeback2021.
"We felt it was important to support our Association Members from Celtic Cultural Alliance. Celtic Classic would bring hundreds of thousands of visitors in over the weekend, and many would venture outside of the event grounds to Main & Broad Streets in our Historic District, supporting our merchants" says Tammy Wendling, Downtown Bethlehem Association Manager. "We don't know what the future of larger events looks like in this very moment, but we were excited to partner with them for "Beth-lum Go Bragh" and are happy to present them with $3,400."
A formal check presentation is scheduled for Monday, April 19th, at 2pm. Neville Gardner, one of the original creators of the festival, owner of Donegal Square and McCarthy's Red Stag Pub and Whiskey Bar, also the President of The Downtown Bethlehem Association, will present the check to Meghan Burke, President of Celtic Cultural Alliance outside of Donegal Square, located at 534 Main Street in Historic Downtown Bethlehem.
