COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force begin meeting with county partners as part of Nevada’s Roadmap to Recovery
CARSON CITY, NV — Today, the Nevada COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force finished the third of three meetings with counties to discuss the State’s Roadmap to Recovery plan, including a May 1 plan to transition day-to-day management of COVID-19 to local authorities.
Many counties gave an update on their current situation and gave a look into their plans for the future of the response. The Nevada’s Roadmap to Recovery – Transition Plan served as a foundation for the conversation.
Plans for the transition will be submitted for further discussion and consideration by the task force in the coming weeks.

The meeting on Tuesday, March 16 included a current situation report provided by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Analytics.
The State Biostatistician noted Nevada continues to see a significant improvement in the trends across all indicators. Only Douglas County was flagged for elevated disease transmission.
