Ciocca Subaru Makes 95k Donation During Share the Love Event
Allentown, Pa- On August 27th, Ciocca Subaru presented a check to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association for $51,067 and a check to the Special Olympics of PA for $43,775 as part of the national Subaru “Share the Love” event.  The check presentation took place at an event held at Ciocca Subaru located at 4611 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown, PA.  Representatives of the Alzheimer’s Association and Special Olympics of PA were on hand to receive the checks from representatives of Ciocca Subaru as well as representatives from Subaru of America.

Subaru’s “Share the Love” event donates $250 from every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased between the dates of November 15th, 2018 and January 2nd, 2019.   Throughout its history, which has spanned 11 years, Subaru of America has donated over 140 million dollars to both national and hometown charities.

On a national level, Subaru of America pledges support through the program to the ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels, and the National Park Foundation.  In addition to these national charities, Ciocca Subaru selected the Alzheimer’s Association and the Special Olympics of PA as this year’s local recipients.

“We are extremely happy to participate in this program again this year,” says Gregg Ciocca.   “This community continues to give us an overwhelming level of support. This event gives us a chance to give something back.”

The mission of Special Olympics PA is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.

The mission of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
