Allentown Rescue Mission’s Clean Team Worker of the Month
Matt M.
(ALLENTOWN, PA) – The Allentown Rescue Mission proudly announces its Clean Team Worker
of the Month for November, Matt.
After being discharged from the Marine Corps Reserve, Matt struggled to find meaning and
direction in his life. Matt knew he needed help to change his life and is thankful that the Allentown
Rescue Mission was there to help him.
He joined the Allentown Rescue Mission’s Transformation Program, took the classes seriously,
and excelled in the program. He even shared his faith with other men in the program to help them
when they were struggling. In January, he graduated from the program, and in June, he began working
with the Clean Team.
Since joining the Clean Team, Matt has had the opportunity to work on many different job
assignments such as street cleaning, landscaping, demolition, and property clean-ups. He is very flexible
and able to change jobs daily. Matt is always there to fill in if there’s a job that needs to get done.
Matt has been working hard, saving money, and is currently hoping to find a job that is related to
his college degree in film and video studies. He has been working on his resume with the help of staff
members at the Allentown Rescue Mission, and although it has been difficult for him to explore career
opportunities during the pandemic, he is still optimistic about getting a position related to his degree in
the future.
Matt is a Christian and attends Life Church. He enjoys reading the Bible and other spiritual books,
and he likes writing about his positive life experiences in his journal.
Good luck, Matt, and thank you for being a worker the Clean Team can rely on.
