AMERICA FIRST POLICY INSTITUTE: STATEMENT ON TITLE 42
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Policy Institute issued the following statement from former Acting DHS Secretary and AFPI Executive Director Chad Wolf after a federal judge blocked the Biden Administration from ending the Title 42 public health order.
"Many Americans are breathing a sigh of relief that a federal judge has blocked the Biden Administration's attempt to terminate Title 42. While this decision is welcomed, it is important to remember that the Biden Administration has slowly diluted the effectiveness of Title 42 by systematically exempting large classes of aliens over the past 15 months. Last month, just 40% of aliens were removed under Title 42 which stands in stark contrast to the 70-80% of aliens removed under Title 42 during the Trump Administration. This court decision was correct, but it alone won't solve the deliberate and systemic harm that the Biden administration continues to perpetrate against the sovereignty of our southern border and the safety of communities across the Nation."
