Trump Campaign announces Q4 2018 fundraising totals

With 98.5% of contributions under $200 in 2018, grassroots support for President steady, historic
NEW YORK, NY – Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. announced the Campaign’s Q4 2018 fundraising totals as reflected in its quarterly report to the U.S. Federal Election Commission, submitted today.

In both direct contributions and contributions raised through its joint fundraising committees with the Republican National Committee, the Trump Campaign raised over $21 million in the Fourth Quarter. These totals continue a record fundraising streak for a president’s first eight quarters in office. The Trump Campaign also reported cash on hand of over $19.2 million to conclude the calendar year.

The report shows that the vast majority of contributions to President Trump’s re-election committee came from donations of $200 or less. “Low-dollar” contributions represented 98.5% of the total funds raised in the quarter, which is consistent with the trend throughout 2018.

Additionally, spending by the Trump Campaign in the Fourth Quarter increased substantially, as the Campaign supported GOP candidates for the House and Senate in the midterm elections. While spending in the three prior quarters averaged just over $5 million by the Campaign, spending exceeded $23 million in Q4, including expenditures on Trump rallies, campaign ads, direct transfers to the RNC, and direct contributions to candidate committees.

“Midway through the first term of his presidency, President Donald Trump continues to deliver on his campaign promises to the American people and they continue to demonstrate their support for him in contributions to his reelection campaign,” said Michael Glassner, Chief Operating Officer for Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.

“Significantly, grassroots support for the President has remained both steady and historic, with the vast majority of our fundraising coming from contributions of $200 or less. This is a true testament to President Trump’s fulfillment of his promises made to the forgotten men and women of America. We’re grateful for their generous support of the Trump Campaign.”
