GoFundMe was the site this time for a crowdfunding feature. Suicide Prevention is very serious to both myself and the magazine. With 2 Out of the Darkness walks coming up on October 7, wanted to feature this subject.
Doing a quick search, found 3 that really caught my attention. Ms. Stancil's story almost brought tears to my eyes. Then I read a comment about her mom helped out another person. Between the 2, it really hit the heart for some unexplained reason. I always do my best to keep emotion out of the articles. Remaining objective and sticking with the facts. This is one of those very rare occasions where it was not possible.
There are numerous reasons why people see this as the only way out. Depression is one of the major reasons. Depression can be very difficult to notice, even if you know the person very well.
