The Grand Prize Winning Artist(s) from ROOTS will receive a solo or two person show in NYC. Are you ready for this and how can it impact your career?
See|Me has always been about creating unique opportunities that expose and amplify an artist's existing talent. Both a chance to be recognized and a chance to grow (not to mention an opportunity to sell your work). With our recent partnership with Arte Azulejo in NYC we now have a permanent location to offer more exposure to artists. We are pleased to launch a series of exhibitions. Do you want the chance to be included?
[*please note that the solo or two person exhibition will occur at a later date/separate time from the ROOTS exhibition and can include different work. We will work with the winning artist(s) to organize the details and plan timing within 12 months of July 31, 2022.]
Your subject matter may reflect traditional interpretations of the concept of ‘Roots' such as family, personal history, culture, or other ways you gain strength and sustenance. Such interpretations might include new communities you have set down roots in, or your sense of rootedness when in a specific place, such as when you are in nature itself. Your subject may also be conceptual, such as your spiritual or philosophical grounding.
Please supplement your submitted work with a written statement that will help
judges fully understand how your art expresses the theme of ROOTS and why
