WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Small Business Subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations is holding a remote hearing titled “A Review of the SBA’s Grant Programs.”
Excerpts from Subcommittee Ranking Member Beth Van Duyne's opening statement are below:
"As we move forward, we absolutely must find these choke points that are leaving our small businesses twisting in the wind. They deserve better. They deserve bipartisan solutions that will work because they did during in the early days of the pandemic.
"Finally, we must ensure that we utilize these dollars, taxpayer dollars - not free money - as efficiently as possible. Vigorous oversight of these programs by our Subcommittee is critical as we move forward."
