Renacci Responds To YouTube Censoring Rand Paul: 'Hell to Pay' for Big Tech Companies Who Censor Information
"As Governor, I will work with the state legislature to create a 'zero tolerance' policy in Ohio towards Big Tech that protects the right of all Ohioans from political censorship by the Left-wing elites that run these companies."

Senator Rand Paul, a physician trained at Duke University, spoke with Outkick founder Clay Travis about the importance of weighing the risks of COVID versus the risks of vaccination when it comes to mandating the vaccine for children. "What they're ignoring, and what people should be alarmed with, is they're ignoring comparison of the risk factor of the disease versus the risk of the vaccine," Senator Paul told Travis. "This is really a crime."

Youtube responded by refusing to allow Travis to post his interview on their platform, and suspended his account for seven days. This is not only shocking censorship of a sitting U.S. Senator on an important issue, but an attack on parents' rights by intentionally denying them access to information and second opinions when making decisions about their child's health.

Mike DeWine could be leading on this critical issue by working with the Republican majority in the legislature on a law similar to what Governor DeSantis has done in Florida. Instead, DeWine has done nothing. It's yet another issue where Mike DeWine is failing to support President Trump and the Trump movement to put power back in the hands of the people.

Jim Renacci issued the following statement in response:

"If Mike DeWine and the Democrats are going to push vaccines on our youngest children, then Ohio parents have the right to access all the information available. Rand Paul is a Senator. He is also a doctor. Google has no excuse to censor his opinion from YouTube other than to reinforce the agenda of Dr. Fauci and the public health bureaucrats who have misled us for so long. Mike DeWine has had plenty of time to take action against Big Tech's censorship regime against conservatives. Instead he's done what he usually does when it comes to an issue Trump supporters care about - nothing. As Governor, I will work with the state legislature to create a 'zero tolerance' policy in Ohio towards Big Tech that protects the right of all Ohioans from political censorship by the Left-wing elites that run these companies. Google, Facebook, and Twitter, take notice: if you go after Ohioans' rights to free speech while I'm governor and try to censor information they need, there will be hell to pay."
