... on all levels! 2019 was the first year Surreal ValeCity attended Play NYC. The game convention was definitely amazing, wild and crazy in the best ways! A perfect combination of video and tabletop games helped create another reality inside the Metropolitan Pavilion. After 2 hours, went outside to take a break and do review, part 1. When I stepped outside my first thought was: "There IS another reality out here." Amount and variety of games is another major factor. The Bose AR (audio reality) street experience was seriously wild! Virtual Reality of Groove Catcher provided my first experience in true VR. I loved meeting all the indie creators and finding out about the history / backstory of the games. Tabletop game variety proved how popular this side of the industry has, again, evolved.
