I have some huge Global Game Jam-related news to share about our big Play NYC convention coming up in just 8 days, on August 10th and 11th!
Unreal Engine has joined us as an official sponsor of the show! That means the UE4 team will be live onsite with 200 square feet of gaming goodness. Best of all? The winning team from our NYC GGJ site will be live in the booth building out a new NYC-themed level for Rats, Roaches & Roombas! Come meet and learn from the UE4 team while the developers build. On Sunday, we'll have a live tournament in the new level exclusively at Play NYC!
This is just one of 20 exclusive games that you can only play at Play NYC. From Bose to our commissioned Graffiti games and new games from over 130 studios across the country, it is going to be an incredible weekend. There will be 4 live tournaments of games throughout the weekend, Games For Change Island, Devolver Digital (!) joining for the first time, and so so much more. We're expecting over 5,000 attendees, including almost 1,000 folks from the games industry and press.
