Completely honest first impression: Way too political / why is this included in the festival? We hear / see / deal with protests / social issues every day. After thinking about it for a while: To celebrate freedom, we need to include every opinion / point of view. Our America Now highlighted individuality and how far apart / divided we are. It made me realize we need to maintain individuality and start focusing on becoming one race / species (human), one country, one world.
Our America Now was not only about political / protests / society differences. Another section focused on fun: example: line dance lessons. Personal Fav: Pick a Topic / Get a Poem. Give any word / phrase / topic, it was immediately turned into a poem, using a typewriter! In the blocked shadow (huge Ferris wheel) Museum of Art: Wawa Welcome America Festival showed a different side / Expressions of Freedom. Not really for me (personal), they did a great job.
