IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Nevada posts strong jobs recovery, ranking second in nation
CARSON CITY, NV - Nevada has created 84,100 jobs since September 2020, the second most of any state according to statistics released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
“Being one of the hardest hit states by the pandemic, this is great news for the State of Nevada,” said Governor Steve Sisolak. “Together, we have launched a safe and responsible reopening plan focused on vaccinating Nevadans, protecting the jobs and strengthening the economy. Our hard work is paying off.”
Hawaii was the only state that topped Nevada with a 12.6 percent increase. Nevada’s employment increased 6.6 percent – a higher rate than California (5 percent), Oregon (3.4 percent), Idaho (3.2 percent), Utah (5.2 percent) and Arizona (4.7 percent)
