- The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has upcoming community testing events in Alexander, Beaufort, Bertie, Chowan, Columbus, Duplin, Graham, Henderson, Hertford, Jackson, Lenoir, Pitt, Randolph, Sampson, Wake and Wilson counties. For an up-to-date list of events, visit the Community Testing Events webpage. Events are listed under the name of their coordinating vendor, NCCHCA, Orig3n or Vidant Health. There is no cost for testing. Read more. NOTE: In response to Tropical Storm Isaias, individual testing events determine whether they will cancel, reschedule or change logistics for their community testing event. NCDHHS is updating the Community Testing Event website as they receive notice of any closures. The site has also been updated with an alert that due to Tropical Storm Isaias, some community testing events are being cancelled or hours are being changed, and people should contact a testing site before arrival to ensure that the site is open.
