Alarming Report: 1,100 lbs of Mexican Cocaine Trafficked Into Cleveland

Picture
Why isn't DeWine taking executive action RIGHT NOW to protect Ohio from Biden's illegal immigration crisis?"

Last week, the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio announcedthree men, including one Mexican national, were charged with trafficking over 1,100 pounds of cocaine from Mexico for distribution in Cleveland. According to the Ohio Star, "the drug trafficking organization shipped over 1,100 pounds of cocaine from Mexico to be distributed in the Cleveland area and sent approximately $13 million in drug trafficking proceeds back to Mexico." This comes a month after authorities announced the bust of over $1 million in fentanyl being trafficked, in part, from Mexico.

The facts couldn't be clearer: Biden's open border is flooding Ohio with crime and drugs. Ohio has one of the worst death rates from drug overdoses in the entire country. Now is the moment for conservative governors to stand up and take action to protect their states from illegal immigration. Instead, Mike DeWine - who once voted to give amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants and grant them Social Security benefits - is sitting on his hands. Why should voters trust him to take tough action now?

Jim Renacci released the following statement:

"Mike DeWine promised to fight Ohio's drug crisis. Instead it's gotten worse. Why isn't DeWine taking executive action RIGHT NOW to protect Ohio from Biden's illegal immigration crisis? Governors like Ron DeSantis or Greg Abbott are leading the way on get-tough policy, while Ohio is stuck with amnesty-voting RINO Mike DeWine. I pledge as Governor to use every tool at my office's disposal and work with the state legislature to DEFUND sanctuary cities and make Ohio a zero-tolerance state for illegal immigration. Unfortunately we can't trust Mike DeWine to do the same."
