Why the magazine became involved

After seeing a post by Alicia McIntosh Vandersluis on Facebook, this is about more than music. The magazine has been looking to sponsor some events. Lack of budget prevents this in a lot of cases. I seriously looked at the Facebook page. The deciding factor was 3 charities would benefit. Plus, they are doing everything possible to make it available to everyone.
The combination of defining reality / helping others fits in perfectly for the magazine.
