K-12 Dashboard updated with school COVID-19 case data
Carson City, NV -- Today, the Department of Health and Human Services, in coordination with the Department of Education, announce an update to the State’s COVID-19 School Dashboard with information on cases in Nevada’s K-12 schools.
The Dashboard, developed by the DHHS Office of Analytics, includes information on COVID-19 cases in Nevada schools that can be searched by county or school and provides data on cases for staff and students who were present at school while they were infectious with COVID-19. Those who test positive for COVID-19 but did not attend school while infectious are not included in the State’s Dashboard.
Nevada’s K-12 Dashboard will be updated weekly on Thursdays with data as of Wednesday.
“This Dashboard will provide much needed detail and information on cases in our schools,” said Melissa Peek-Bullock, DHHS State Epidemiologist. “We hope this data is a benefit to Nevada families as we strive to mitigate the spread of this illness.”
DHHS and the Department of Education have collaborated since early in the pandemic to support Nevada schools and protect the health of staff, students and families.
Note on test results: This data changes rapidly as tests are conducted and contact tracing and disease investigation are completed for school cases. The data may not always match the most recent reports released by local health jurisdictions or school districts.
