JobFest takes place on Tuesday, December 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall, 3150 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89109
LAS VEGAS, NV – Governor Sisolak will be joined by Elisa Cafferata, Director of Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation for what is believed to be Southern Nevada’s largest job fair on Tuesday, December 7.
Media are asked to RSVP to [email protected] by end of day Friday and to be on-site no later than 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Interview opportunities will be available after opening remarks conclude.
More than 145 employers are expected to hire for more than 15,000 job openings in what is believed to be Southern Nevada’s largest job fair! There will be resources available for upskilling, reskilling, and necessities like housing and childcare.
Nevada JobConnect staff and other agencies will be on hand with resources and services to get you the skills you need to stand out and step into the right job.
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services and partner Immunize Nevada will be on hand providing COVID-19 vaccines and boosters, and flu shots. COVID vaccines are now approved for kids as young as 5, and many employers are now requiring vaccination as a condition of employment.
Other community partners providing resources alongside DETR and Governor’s Office of Economic Development at JobFest include Workforce Connections, Veteran’s Services, Nevada Partners, Culinary Health Fund, Help of Southern Nevada, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, Dress for Success, Urban League, Legal Aid of Southern Nevada and more.
