Governor Sisolak to launch Healthcare Week in Nevada, focusing on the health care economy, increasing access to vulnerable populations and providing mental health support
NEVADA – This week, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak will highlight work the State has done – and continues to do – as it related to health care. During “Healthcare Week,” Governor Sisolak will visit various businesses and organizations across the State to talk about healthcare jobs and the economy, how the State is working to increase access for vulnerable populations and now the State is working to expand mental health supports.
“Strengthening supports and expanding access to healthcare options has always been a priority for me. The COVID-19 pandemic has only added to the sense of urgency. This week, I am eager to express my gratitude to frontline health care workers and to discuss ways Nevada can build upon existing supports and resources to continue down our path of success,” said Governor Steve Sisolak. “Together, we’ve already done incredible work to support our health care economy, increase access to care and provide additional mental health supports and I look forward to continuing this important work in the future.”
