Governor Sisolak Orders Flags to Half-Staff Honoring Major General Robert T. Herbert
LAS VEGAS – Today, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak ordered flags of the State of Nevada and the United States to be lowered to half-staff at the State Capitol and all State public buildings and grounds from sunrise to sunset in honor and remembrance of Major General Robert T. Herbert on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
“Today, the State of Nevada mourns the passing of Major General Robert T. Herbert, a distinguished Nevadan that dedicated his life serving the people of this great State,” said Gov. Sisolak. “Kathy and I continue to send our love and condolences to Bob’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”
Major General Robert T. Herbert had an extensive career in the military and public service, including Special Assistant to the Chief at the National Guard Bureau for National Security Policy. At the Nevada National Guard, he served as Land Component Commander, Deputy Commander, and Director of Aviation. His public service including serving as Director of Appropriations and Senior Policy Advisor for Majority and Minority Leader U.S. Senator Harry Reid.
