Governor Ron DeSantis Announces Drive-Thru State Vaccination Site in the Villages
THE VILLAGES, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference in The Villages to announce a second state vaccination site. This site is available for those 65 and older, as well as frontline health care workers. The site is an outdoor, drive thru location, which accommodates golf carts, and will operate daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The site is offering appointments at https://sumterfl.saferestart.net.

Governor DeSantis remains focused on leveraging innovative ways to distribute the vaccine to maintain a proactive comprehensive Seniors First approach all across the state. To date, Florida has vaccinated nearly 350,000 seniors. As supplies allow, Governor DeSantis will continue to build the state’s vaccination apparatus to increase convenience and speed to which Floridians can receive the vaccine.
