Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints 18 to the Florida Commission on Community Service

Tallahassee, Fla. -- Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Kerry Anne Schultz, Tajiana Ancora-Brown, Brea Kratzert Todd, Wilson Roberts, Chucha Barber, Autumn Karlinsky, Sharon Funk, Lynette Cardoch, Lori Killinger, Amanda “Mandy” Morrow, Christina “Christy” Brodeur, Kelli Walker, Thomas Allen, Maria Sullivan, Sherry Wheelock, Lorena “Jayne” Cerio, Adam Faurot and Christina Bonarrigo Villamil to the Florida Commission on Community Service, also known as Volunteer Florida.
 
Kerry Anne Schultz
Schultz, of Gulf Breeze, is an attorney and partner with Fountain, Schultz & Associates. Previously, she was an attorney and partner with Bordelon, Schultz & Greene. Schultz has volunteered her time with the Gulf Breeze Rotary Club, Junior Achievement of Northwest Florida and the Sacred Heart Foundation. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in history and political science from Oklahoma City University and her juris doctor from the Tomas M. Cooley Law School at Western Michigan University.
 
Tajiana Ancora-Brown
Ancora-Brown, of Winter Garden, is Director of External Affairs at Walt Disney World Resort. Previously, she was Chief of Staff at the Florida Department of Revenue, Deputy Director of Policy in the Executive Office of the Governor and Director of Communications at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. She has volunteered her time with the Central Florida Foundation, United Arts of Central Florida and the Volunteer Florida Foundation. Ancora-Brown earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and her master of business administration from the University of Miami.
 
Brea Kratzert Todd
Kratzert Todd, of Jacksonville Beach, is the Vice President of Business Development for the Wounded Warrior Project. Previously, she was Resource Development Director for the Wounded Warrior Project, Director of Marketing in the Athletic Department at the University of North Florida and Manager of Title Sponsors at the PGA Tour. Kratzert Todd earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Virginia University and her juris doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law.
 
Wilson Roberts
Roberts, of Tallahassee, is a senior at Leon High School and a Lifeguard with the City of Tallahassee. He is Class President of the Leon Student Government Association and is involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Leon Students for Freedom, Order of the Arrow and has helped raise money for cancer research through his school.  
 
Chucha Barber
Barber, of Tallahassee, is President of Chucha Barber Productions. Previously, she was CEO of the Mary Brogan Museum of Arts and Science. Barber has volunteered her time with the Heart Association, Leon Tourist Development Council, Tallahassee Film Festival and the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. She received her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Miami.
 
Autumn Karlinsky
Karlinsky, of Weston, is a volunteer who has been on the Commission on Community Service since 2012 and recently served as commission chair. She has volunteered her time with the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, the Healthy Mothers and Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County, Temple Dor Dorim and Imagine Charter School of Weston. Karlinksy is a certified dental hygienist and earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Saint Petersburg College.
 
Sharon Funk
Funk, of Ponte Vedra, is a wife and mother who is passionate about community service. Over the years, she has volunteered her time with the PGA Tour, J.T. Townsend Foundation, Funk Zitello Foundation, Champions for Hope, Challenge Aspen and Challenge America. Funk spent three years at the University of Texas before receiving her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Houston.
 
Lynette Cardoch
Cardoch, of Miami, is the Vice President of Resilience and Adaptation at Moffat & Nichol. Previously, she held leadership positions with HDR, Inc. and MWH Global. Cardoch has volunteered her time with the Miami-Dade Planning Advisory Board, Dream in Green, Sustainable Florida and Leadership Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Harvard College, master’s degree from the University of Miami and her doctorate degree from Louisiana State University.
 
Lori Killinger
Killinger, of Tampa, is an attorney and shareholder with Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A. Previously, she was an attorney with the Florida House of Representatives and an assistant general counsel with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Killinger earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and her juris doctor from Duke University School of Law.
 
Amanda “Mandy” Morrow
Morrow, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is a realtor with Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty. Previously, she was a realtor with Keller Williams Realty and Watson Realty. She has volunteered her time with the Florida Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Pink Ribbon Golf Classic Charity and the Friends of the GTM Reserve. Morrow earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
 
Christina “Christy” Brodeur
Brodeur, of Tallahassee, is a former Secretary of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice where she also held the positions of Deputy Secretary, Chief of Staff, Director of External Affairs and Legislative Affairs Director. She has volunteered her time with the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administration and Inspire of Central Florida. Brodeur earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Florida State University.
 
Kelli Walker
Walker, of Tallahassee, is the District Volunteer Coordinator for Leon County Schools. Previously, she was Community Engagement Project Manager for Leon County Schools, Director of Volunteer and Community Involvement for the Florida Department of Education and a Parent Liaison for Leon County Schools. Walker volunteers her time with the Florida Association for Partners in Education. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
 
Thomas Allen
Allen, of Tallahassee, is the Executive Vice President for Real Estate Management at Capital City Bank. He has served on the board of Maclay School and the Leon County Research and Development Authority. Allen earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida State University.
 
Maria Sullivan
Sullivan, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is a former program assistant with The Sontag Foundation. Previously, she worked for the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department. Sullivan was born in Cuba and came to the United States at nine years old and credits the help her family received for her interest in volunteerism. She has volunteered at homeless shelters and cooks meals for the terminally ill.
 
Sherry Wheelock
Wheelock, of Windemere, is President and CEO of Special Olympics Florida. Previously, she was Treasurer at Universal Orlando. Wheelock has volunteered her time on numerous boards including the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and North Florida and the Universal Orlando Foundation. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baylor University.
 
Lorena “Jayne” Cerio
Cerio, of Tallahassee, is a former schoolteacher with Hillsborough and Alachua County Schools. A passionate community advocate, she has served on the Commission on Community Service since 2018 where she has been a member of the Emergency Management Service Committee through multiple natural disasters. Cerio earned her bachelor’s degree with high honors in education and her master of education from the University of Florida.
 
Adam Faurot
Faurot, of Tallahassee, is CEO of Titus Sports Academy, a gym focused on athletic development and training. He has volunteered his time with Living Healthy in Florida and the Children’s Home Society. Faurot earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.
 
Christina Bonarrigo Villamil
Bonarrigo Villamil, of Coral Gables, is a consultant with Converge GPS. Previously, she was Director of External Affairs for the University of Florida Foundation in Miami and Project Manager for The Heavener Company. Bonarrigo Villamil has volunteered her time with the Junior League of Miami, Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science and her master’s degree in management from the University of Florida.
 
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
