​Governor Ron DeSantis Makes Five Judges of Compensation Claims Appointments

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointments of John Moneyham to Panama City, Brian Anthony to Tampa, and Erik Grindal to Sarasota. He also reappointed Sylvia Medina-Shore to Miami and Jack Weiss to Fort Meyers.
 
Moneyham, 58, of Panama City, Florida, has been the president of John P. Moneyham, P.A. since 1991. He previously served as an associate for McConnaughhay, Roland, Maida, Cherr & McCranie. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from Florida State University. Moneyham fills the open judicial seat in the Panama City District.
 
Anthony, 55, of Tampa, Florida, has been an attorney for Anthony Law Office, P.A. since 2012. He previously served as a partner with Caglianone, Miller & Anthony. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from Stetson University. Anthony fills the open judicial seat in the Tampa District.
 
Grindal, 50, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, has been a partner with the Law Office of Erik Grindal, P.A. since 2016. He previously served as an attorney with Foreman Friedman, P.A. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and his law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law. Grindal fills the open judicial seat in the Sarasota District.
 
Medina-Shore, 55, of Miami, Florida, has been a Judge of Compensation Claims since 2000. She previously served as an associate for Conroy, Simberg, Ganon, Krevans & Abel, P.A. She received her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and her law degree from Stetson University. Medina-Shore is reappointed for another four year term.
 
Weiss, 55, of Fort Meyers, Florida, has been a Judge of Compensation Claims since 2015. He previously served as a managing partner for Conroy Simberg. He received his bachelor’s degree and his law degree from the University of Florida. Weiss is reappointed for another four year term.
