Subsequent to updated proclamation from White House, Nevada to keep flags at Full Staff on May 15 in honor of Armed Forces Day
CARSON CITY, NV – In line with updated direction from the White House, Nevada will keep flags at full staff on May 15 in honor of Armed Forces Day.
Today, President Joe Biden issued an proclamation to states and territories, ordering flags to remain at full staff on Saturday, May 15 in honor of Armed Forces Day. The President’s new proclamation supersedes an earlier proclamation to lower flags in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day.
Nevada will recognize Peace Officers Memorial Day by lowering the flags on Sunday, May 16. The Governor previously lowered the flags on May 6, 2021 in honor of the 2021 Nevada Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony.
