Stress / Stay at Home / other factors
At some point the "fun" and "novelty" of new restrictions wears off. We get tired of being around the same people. Yes, in almost every case, you can still go out for a walk / drive. Provided you stay a minimum of 6' away from the next human being. When we get back, same thing. Possible increase of Domestic Violence / Child Abuse is another aspect / effect of COVID-19. This series is a very serious attempt to place emphasis on those factor / aspects. Questions are being submitted to organizations. As usual, don't expect replies due to obvious reasons (overwhelmed, understaffed, etc.).
Questions
- Is there an increase in Domestic Violence with new social distancing, new restrictions, isolation and other effects of the virus?
- At some point, the “novelty” of not working / having more time wears off. Stress increases, especially in cases of “Stay in Place” and other restrictions. Is there a greater chance of simple disagreements / arguments escalating to possible violence now?
- How can warning signs of situations / possible increased violence be detected?
