Nevada Health Response announces COVID-19 website, dashboard updates
Carson City, NV – Today, Nevada Health Response announced the launch of an updated website design and COVID-19 Dashboard to better serve Nevadans through the State’s COVID-19 response.
The website update began Friday evening and is expected to be fully functional on Monday, Jan. 4. The website will be available during the transition and users may see changes or experience minor issues in function throughout the weekend.
The website, NVHealthResponse.nv.gov, serves as the State’s main hub to provide information pertaining to COVID-19 in Nevada. In addition to an updated design and easier-to-navigate pages, the website includes information on the Governor’s directives, guidance on mitigation measures to reduce the transmission of the virus and information for students, businesses and visitors.
A key highlight of the new website as the State continues to respond to COVID-19 is a page dedicated to providing Nevadans with the State’s “current status.” The page will include the latest mitigation measures for the state in an easy-to-follow format. If local governments take locally-specific mitigation actions, the website will also include that information. Furthermore, a new page dedicated to the State’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts has been added and will help direct Nevadans to the most up-to-date information on the status of the vaccine campaign on www.NVCovidFighter.org.
Additionally, the Nevada COVID-19 Dashboard will be updated and published on Monday to offer enhanced navigation, increased usability, improved accessibility for users with disabilities, and more options to filter county-level data. The dashboard, developed and operated by the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Analytics, is a key feature of the Nevada Health Response website that provides daily updates on cases, testing and COVID-19 deaths throughout the state. This data illustrates the trends and rolling averages in order to account for day-to-day fluctuations.
This is the second update to the dashboard since the previous update went live in October of 2020. The dashboard updates were developed by the DHHS Office of Analytics with Microsoft AI for Health to revamp the design of the dashboard, which also allows users to download data. The Office of Analytics continues to review the data and available metrics as Nevada’s COVID-19 response changes to provide the most relevant data.
The COVID-19 Dashboard can be found on the home page of the Nevada Health Response website. Other updates to the website include:
