COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard Updated
Carson City, NV — Today, Nevada’s Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Analytics announced several changes to the COVID-19 Dashboard vaccination tab.
The updates published today show vaccine metrics based on county of residence, in addition to the previously provided data attributed to the vaccination clinic county. For example, by including county of residence, the Dashboard will account for rural Nevada counties, such as Esmeralda and Storey, where residents have had vaccine administered at a clinic or vaccination site in a neighboring county. As a result of this update, users will be able to see both sets of data for increased transparency.
Data presented based on clinic county will continue to include those vaccinated through the workforce lanes of the Vaccination Playbook, which may include Nevada residents who work in a different county than they reside, or in rare occurrences, out-of-state employees who have been vaccinated due to their occupation and Nevada employment.
Additionally, the Dashboard now includes the percentage of Nevadans who have been vaccinated that are eligible, as well as the percentage of the total population of Nevadans who have been vaccinated. As of publication, vaccines are only approved for use on those 16 and older.
The Office of Analytics has also revised demographic metrics and the data will now be based on unique individuals with vaccination initiated, rather than total doses, which better accounts for the two-dose regimen of some vaccines.
The vaccination tab of the COVID-19 data Dashboard was added Feb. 3 and is updated Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
The vaccination information can be found on the NVHealthResponse.nv.gov home page as a tab on the COVID-19 Dashboard.
State biostatistician Kyra Morgan will be available to answer more technical questions about the changes on today’s regularly scheduled noon press call.
