COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force meeting is available
CARSON CITY, NV — The Nevada COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force met this Thursday and discussed updates from their respective agencies and departments.
All counties in Nevada, with the exception of Storey County, were flagged for elevated disease transmission this week. All flagged counties met the criteria of a high case rate per 100,000 and had a high test positivity rate. Lincoln County was the only county flagged for a low testing average.
Due to the State’s current “pause” status, the Task Force’s meeting was focused on ongoing informational updates and briefings rather than through individual county plans.
The Task Force were provided updates on efforts to improve contact tracing and lab reporting systems throughout the state.
