Nevada COVID-19 Facilities Dashboard Updated
Carson City, NV — Today an updated Nevada COVID-19 Facilities Dashboard will be published with a layout to match the main COVID-19 Dashboard and an updated methodology for data.
Similar to the update to the main COVID-19 Dashboard in October, the facilities dashboard will now include COVID-19 antigen test results and probable cases.
A COVID-19 case is considered “confirmed” with a positive Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) or Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) molecular test. A case is considered “probable” when a person has a positive antigen test result. In addition to the previously published confirmed COVID-19 cases, probable cases will provide the State with a more comprehensive picture of COVID-19 and more accurately display cases in Nevada’s congregate-living settings.
Nevada’s COVID-19 Facilities Dashboard includes information on COVID-19 cases and deaths among staff and residents in Nevada’s care facilities, correctional centers, child care facilities and other congregate settings.
Additionally, information for the Dashboard will now come directly from the database facilities use to enter case information which will provide a more consistent, up-to-date data source. Some case counts will change based on these updates and associated data review.
The COVID-19 Facilities Dashboard was first published in April 2020 by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Analytics with support and information from the Office of Public Health Investigations and Epidemiology.
Reminder: Updates to the Dashboard are applied incrementally and it may take up to an hour for all data to display
